I'm so annoyed with the hospital, I was told yesterday by the registrar I would need serial growth scans & they would call me to arrange. So I call the unit to see what's going on as its now afternoon and I'm anxious (obviously) and I had the rudest midwife tell me 'I don't see why you even need them' and be so unhelpful. So now I'm ringing around to see if anyone can help. I'm so exhausted and all I want to do is cry.

They don't normally start the pathway for serial growth scans till 28 plus weeks take a while to sort out Hun

I was told last night they want to get me booked in for them so I'm just going by that @suzie80

At the end of the day is the reg says he wants me to have serial growth scans then that's what I want because there is obviously a cause for concern

What reason did he give growth? As much as its no excuse u did see one thing being said and another happening all the time and the reg isn't a consultant and it needs to be authorised by them. Serial growth scans to be requested for not a specific pathway cause at your stage are unusual hence the midwife response. I'm on an iugr pathway with proven case previous and pre eclampsia but growth scans aren't started till after the 28 week period as there useless prior as growth changes. I'm not making an excuse for anyone but my experience is u need to wait and sometimes a reg in the evening says stuff they get run by a consultant who says no. Not saying that has happened. I personally would speak to your midwife as they can start the pathway off with he consultant if they agree it's needed. But I wouldn't panic yet. Your only 25 weeks I see
