Yea and I even had a coworker asked me if I was going to breastfeed cause my boobs weren't as big as normal preggo ladies I guess, random yea I just wanted to share lol. Once my milk started coming out there was nothing stopping it, so I pumped all I could. And yes, i gave my son the little bottles they gave me in the hospital, which I think it's formula.
It's still early. I wouldn't mess up your supply by giving formula. Colostrum is all your baby needs until your milk comes in and it is most definitely enough to sustain them. Don't worry. It'll happen. Mine took a few days then I was an over producer. The hospital didn't want me to give any supplementing formula for sake of my supply. The more you nurse the quicker it will come in.
it's best to start brestfeeding right after delivery the baby will get colostrum until your milk come in, colostrum is enough to full baby up, if you don't breastfeeding right away your body will not know how much milk to produce, if you started right after delivery it take approximately 3 give or take a day or 2 days to start producing milk, I was leaking milk 5 days before delivery...
