The day I feared the most has come😢
Eli is already one and we're trying to get him of his pacifier. We just had the most horrible idea to start this when his pacifier got lost😣 like he doesn't REALLY need it during the day..but it's more when his asleep.
And last night he fell asleep with no problem without it,
but and hour later he starts moving and with his eyes still shut starts looking for his pacifier, and since it wasn't there starts screaming like crazy and I got up furious and start looking for it. It WAS HORRIBLE! He didn't even get like this when he started teething!😭😭
I was already tired and sleepy so I was pissed and things got a little out of control with my husband and I left room and from the leaving room I could still hear Eli crying his eyes out.. and little by little he stopped, after a while I went back to apologized and Eli was on my husband chest and really comfy..
I don't really go for the "crying out method" since he sleep in our room so yeah..
but okay, any moms who have gone through this.. how do I get my son of his pacifier?

My son was a year and 4 months when I took him off the pacifier..I just went cold turkey!..I threw it away so I wouldn't give in on giving it to him..he had a different brand that he didn't like all he did that night was look for his pacifier while asleep sucked it (the one he doesn't like) noticed it wasn't the right one and spit it out and that was pretty much it ,after that night I threw away the one he doesn't like too..maybe u can try leaving on he doesn't like

You can try to take him off it slowly.
My daughter will be 2 yrs old on the 4th.i just got her off of it slowly. I only let her have it when it's nap time or bed time. I finally just completely stopped giving it to her and she doesn't even notice. Your son could probably still be teething and maybe he still needs the pacifier to rub his gums on

I was 4 years old when I stopped sucking the pacifier I'd have like 4 to one little thing 😂😂 my daddy just started taking them and throwing them away! THATS not a good method at all but it eventually worked lmao 😂😂
@elismommy428, yeah she is literally the same way I was she's only 8months tho so getting her off it isn't a problem at the moment but at night if she doesn't have it I won't get any sleep
