So idk about any other state but when someone is married they automatically put the husbands name as the father on the birth certificate I don't want them to do that because then they won't do a DNA. And I want him to do one so there isn't anything down the road.... who should I talk to about it??

That's weird I've never heard of this before. Usually you get to choose what's on the birth certificate

When my sister had my niece she was married to my brother in law and they asked if she was going to be taking the dads last name or staying with my sisters old last name. I don't think the hospital can just put that on there cause your married you have the choice. But every state may be different I live in Texas

You will fill out the birth certificate information, then the birth certificate comes in the mail a few weeks later. You can put whatever want for a last name.
