I need advice ASAP!!....My newborn sleeps all day, then when night comes she's up, fussy and doesn't want to sleep in her bassinet. Instead she prefer to lay in my chest ALL night. It's becoming impossible because I just had a c-section. Is it too early to put her on a schedule and if not what kind???

So I read that it sometimes can take a couple weeks to let them adjust to a normal sleep schedule. We had a huge problem with this last night she was up and crying every half hour but we put her in her swing tonight and so far (fingers crossed) she only woke up screaming once and it was because she had a dirty diaper! She hates her bassinet too but the swing we have she seems to love

I was going through the same thing this time around. Personally I believe it's too soon to have her in her schedule, it impossible to keep them awake. My little one will be 7 weeks on Tue... And she started sleeping better through the night around 5 weeks. @apples

Another thing once you allow them to sleep on your chest thats it. I made that mistake with my first child. They hear your heart beat in the womb and you putting her back on your chest to sleep is like a reminder. It may be hard but try to keep her up as much as you can and rest when she does. It takes time to adjust but she'll get the hang of a schedule once you establish one.

I was thinking....before I had her, I was working 11-7 shift. so that's probably why she's up throughout the night
