Parenting question: at what age do you start punishing a kid for disobeying? Delos does not listen to no and he knows what it means. He just looks at me laughs and does whatever he isn't supposed to do even when he knows he isn't supposed to. I know he's only a year old but there is some understanding there.

I personally think as soon as you can tell they're understanding it which in my opinion is around a year.

What kind of punishments are acceptable? I put him in his bed especially when he crawls to the edge of my bed which he's not supposed to for obvious reasons. @1sttimemummy and @sandycheeks

I'd do timeout and then before allowing them to be out of time out sit down and explain why they got a timeout and explain that there are consequences for whatever behavior and this was their consequence

some parents don't like it but I started to tap on my boys butt or hands when they did something they weren't suppose to and I would tell them no no. .

I do a tap on his hiney and hands. I've done that since the beginning hoping it would click by now. Thank you guys.
