Baby girl tried to sleep thru the night last night at four days old, I woke up after 5 hours because I hadn't heard her, and was thinking aren't you hungry? she usually wakes up every three hours. Idk whether to take advantage of it , or keep waking her up for feedings since she's so young. lol

that's what my mom said too. @andiryan93 that its okay to let them sleep because they'll let you know when they are hungry. I'll just see what happens @andiryan93

I was always told let baby sleep and that's what I've done. My son was a few days old and slept for almost 8 hours he woke himself up. My daughter was the same way and they both grew just fine.

Always wake them. Once they're about 2.5/3 months you'll get the go ahead to leave them asleep and no longer have to wake them!

I've never been told not to wake them.. just that they don't have the ability to always wake themselves up when they're hungry yet.

that's what they told me to, but I was also told not to wake a sleeping baby and that they will wake up when their hungry but she doesn't cry or anything at all lol so I'm stuck @kaidens_mommy

nurse told me to wake him up every 2 to 3 hours.. cause I was in the same boat.. he's been sleeping up to 4 or so hours when he was eating every 2
