I'm gonna let you moms in on a little secret if you have toddlers and small children. When they are so hype and it seems they will not go to bed or relax rather than drug them up get some Melatonin Gummies or Melatonin drops to spike their milk! Look it up its all natural unlike Tylenol and Motrin and those other syrups a lot of moms use to knock the babies out. It won't knock them out it will relax them and they will go to sleep with ease and not wake up like they were doped up lol it is great for adults too if you feel like you just can't go to sleep at night! I'm on this all natural kick with my LO and my whole family lol

Definitely! Melatonin would be my choice to try to comfort my baby if I were in your situation! I wouldn't recommend it for every baby, but your situation is different! Comfort that baby, mama! 😉

Yea mine said like with anything in moderation, my daughter has sickle cell and it was less stuff in the melatonin than in Tylenol or Motrin so if she is fussy from teeth she had literally 8 come in at once! I gave her orajel and .50mlnof melatonin to relax her and she went to sleep rather than giving her Motrin or Tylenol every 4-6 hours @alexislindo814

this makes me a little nervous only because melatonin is a hormone, but if her pediatrician says its ok and you feel it is safe

@phephe434, lol we be all played out but I'll try the lavender bath and the warm milk as @sandee_gianna805 mentioned she got off breastmilk at 13 months and is on organic whole milk that I add Enfagrow toddler translations powder to for the nutrients she needs and I give to her cold but maybe I should still be giving her warm milk even though it's whole? Shoot I haven't had a baby in 14 years and I was 18 when I had the first lol but thanks ladies for the info guess I'll keep my melatonin a secret before someone overdoses their baby 😬

Well melatonin has nothing in it to cause one to become dependent, that I've already verified and the average dose for kids n adults is 4-10ml I've given her .50ml here and there and my 14 year old n my 8 yr old cousin take the gummies when they are restless so even with her routine sometimes my 15 month old is just up!😩 so occasionally I've given her the melatonin, BUT I have also learned that I need to give her more solid food since she no longer is just getting breastmilk and she's very active so that also helps. But thanks for the info I'll reserve it for dire emergencies from now on but I would still rather give her that for say a plane ride than to give her Tylenol or Motrin @sandee_gianna805 😊

well you know you can also play with your child an hour before bathtime like play dance and stuff once they start to yawn give them a warm lavender bath and after the bath rub them down and sing and then warm milk its been working for my daughter these past few days

my friend is a nurse so i asked him about this and its not recommeded for toddlers or especially babies unless they have ADD ..but if your baby is healthy they usually realease melatonin from their body naturally you just have to have a daily routine for them ..this can also cause problems when they hit puberty ..and once you give them these they become dependent and its harder for them to stop its pretty much a strong drug for them

Well most things can harm you if not in moderation just like too much Tylenol and Motrin lol this shouldn't be an every day go to because you don't want to be bothered. But I like the warm milk cinnamon approach also I'll try that! Thanks @sandee_gianna805
