it's not ready being a single mom, BUT it's doable. I was a single mom for 2 years before my SO came into our lives. having my daughter to myself and experiencing all the first by myself was rewarding. But at times it was sad. especially as she got older like school age, because she knew my SO wasnt her "real" dad and she desired what other kids had. so there are some ups and downs.
