Has anyone else turned down genetic testing? 😁 I'm starting to feel like a bad mom for turning it…

We did I refused any type of testing

I didn't.. However, turning it down shouldn't make you feel bad. Because if there's a genetic issue, nothing can be done.. And I'm sure you'll love your baby no matter what..

I turned it down because my doctor told me it was pretty much false positives but every doctor says differently.

@klove2016, that's what I was thinking. There's nothing I can do if he has some sort of condition until he comes out. Especially since some of the things they test for mean he's not compatible with life. If he tested positive for something that wasn't compatible with life then I'd spend the rest of my pregnancy upset and stressing that my baby was going to die after birth. I'm going to find out in 20 weeks anyways. Might as well not stress over it now.

No I did, dr said getting those test can cause problems with the baby, I wasn't getting it anyway Ima love my baby no matter what.

I did them during both my pregnancies, my son's came back negative , my daughters came back positive for spina bifida, however after a more in depth blood test it all came back fine and I also had an ultrasound to check her spine

I understand why people turn it down but I did it just to be aware and prepared in case something was wrong. I like to be informed. Wouldn't have aborted had there been issues

I did. Too many risk 1. And I'm going to love my baby no matter if there's anything wrong with her so I didn't want to put us through that stress for 9 months. Don't feel bad!

I only agreed to blood testing this Is my 3rd baby and i. don't believe I need an amniocentis it can cause miscarriage, You do what's right for you

I turned it down. I didn't want to stress over it if anything came back positive. if she has a condition I will know shortly after birth anyways and love her no matter what.

I did the blood test that was all I didn't do the amniotic fluid because i was told in some cases it can cause miscarriage didn't really look into it but it scared me enough. we just did the blood test so if there was a problem we were prepared for it like you said nothing would change how I felt about my baby so we just looked at it that way
