I was terrified before I had my baby, too. If you're getting the epidural, I promise it's not that bad. Once I got it I was able to sleep. Once my baby was born, I was so happy I didn't care what I had just went through. You can do it!

@babyattmore, I was squirming because of the contractions and they were still able to get it in. I didn't look at the needle but they did numb the area before giving it to me. I thought it would be awful getting it but I barely felt anything

I had the epidural and I don't even remember the needle part. I didn't look at it before they stuck it in either. I don't even look when they draw blood.
