Idk why it always hurts my feelings when I try to be cute with my SO like picking up odd round…

I've been there with an ex. It doesn't feel good to know a guy you love has no plans on marrying anytime soon or at all. I couldn't be with someone if they didn't want to marry me.

@indigenousmommy, the thing is.. he tells me he wants to spend the rest if his life with me he wants to raise a family together he wants all the stuff together.. I'll admit I can be a little childish and want to play around... but that's because I need an escape for a minute while I'm cooking dinner or folding his laundry... I do all these roles as his house girlfriend but won't even acknowledge the whole marriage side of things.. he says we might as well be married or he refers to me as his wife.. but he won't marry me..

My brother is like your SO but he went through a terrible divorce and has 3 kids with the ex wife. The woman he's with desperately wants to marry him and had a baby recently with him but he still won't marry her. They are pretty much married. I can't understand why it's a big deal for men to want to stay unmarried if they're committed. My brothers lady ended up giving their baby her last name because of it.

That's understandable! Have you talked to him about how important it is for you?

@indigenousmommy, yeah all he does is nods or somewhat agrees.. or is totally on board and then I do something that pisses him off then he shuts me out and blames me for everything but somehow I'm still supposed to do things for him like make his lunch and dinner and do his laundry ect.. but I'm not good enough to be his wife..

I think it's just that women are more and more becoming "wives" without expecting marriage. Nobody likes feeling forced into anything but if the love is there he should be willing to marry. Just my opinion of course.

Stop doing wife things if you are not a wife. I'm not trying to be rude by saying that either. Slow down on some of that wife stuff you do and see how he thinks then.

@nova887, I have.. and it gets me nowhere... he just gets pissed off at me and complains I never do anything... says I'm lazy... I don't have a job so if those things don't get done it's my fault they didn't get done...
