so, when I went to the Youth Organization today to sign my son out of the program, I spoke with the person under the shelter's supervisor and I was told that they could not give me any information regarding the medical status of any of those kids who my son shared that needle with pierce his face. Because they don't take the kids medical information so they could have anything and I wouldn't even know it. But, a man that was there that worked there said to Marcus, "Thats a great way to get HIV - ESPECIALLY with the crowd you ran out that door with Sunday." now I'm questioning, was he trying to tell me something??? Or was he simply making a point to Marcus? Or was he saying there's a high likelihood that one of them if not all of them might have something???? all I can even do his obsess over this entire situation and just Panic. I've been literally panicking since Sunday and I'm going to be this way for the next 6 months until he gets blood work done!

omg I'd be freaking too! I really hope he was just making a point but that seems too specific to me. The only good thing is hiv dies soo easily once it touches the air (like 30 seconds) so even if one boy was positive the time it took in between piercings should be long enough. hepatitis is easier to get doing stuff like that but thankfully they've just found a cure for hep c. I just hope this was a wake up call for him to think before acting, he will realize one day how lucky he is to have such a devoted and caring mom. ♡

I am just so paranoid 😧 I called the pediatrician today and told him about the hair clipper incident thst happened yesterday and expressed how terrified I am to contract something if my husband gets it and then pass it to the baby via breast milk. and he said even if God forbid Marcus does have something, he wouldn't be contagious or be able to transmit anything for 6 months so we are fine....he also said he thinks the red a very unlikely chance Marc got anything from anyone but that he wants me to have him tested in 6 months...I STILL don't feel 100% safe though. I wish I didn't have such severe health anxiety...this is a nightmare for me

Definitely get a test done in 6 months. I'd do it in 3 and then again in 6. just to be sure but it really is unlikely. I have anxiety too with other things (driving in cars, being in the middle of nowhere) it's impossible to tell yourself it's just anxiety and everything is ok. that's why it's so hard to function with it :(
