back story I plan to have more than one kid and pretty close together. ok my friend has a daughter that will be one when my baby is born. I told her I dont know how long I would like to wait before letting her daughter be around the baby. she got mad at me and said well don't you plan to have another kid what are you going to do then "its basically the same concept" is what she said. I don't think it is personally but what can I say to her that is a good reason my baby shouldnt be around her child when she is first born, but would make sense to why it would be ok for my child to be around the newborn. confusing I know but Im in a bind here trying not to piss her off but also want to have good reasoning for my decision 😒. kinds feel like I shouldn't have to explain my parenting reasons but she's my best friend.

well its not yuur babys sibling so its not the same concept its very different

yes I agree ^^ I had aunts who wouldn't let their mom friends' kids around her newborns... you don't know what other babies put in their mouths or what they touched.. bc all little ones suck on their hands... or your friends baby ends up with a cold.. that's not something you're interested in ya know!?

idt I'd even let my fiances kid hold my newborn, she may be a half sister but she don't live with us often enough for me to be comfortable with it. so I get your point, that kid is no sibling of yours I don't blame you
