so last week I went to the hospital and they told me I have a UTI. they gave me the antibiotic and didn't say much. so I finished the antibiotic but my question is how do I know when it's gone? how did I get it? I never had any symptoms or pain or anything so I didn't know. I have never had one before. this is my second pregnancy.

they should test again to make sure it's fully gone. and if they don't just make sure u bring it up to ur doctor at ur next visit.

well I found out when I went to the er. but I called my ob today and they just said it should be gone by now. but idk. my appointment isn't until August 10th. that's still a ways away. and my bf is tripping thinking I gave him it. and that I'm sleeping with someone else. @lyds

well u can get a uti easy. from the soap, holding ur pee, ur undies. I mean it's common for pregnant women to get them. if ur really that worried it's not gone go get cranberry pills. take how it tells u and it will be gone by the time u go back to the doc. but u can always ask to be tested again just to be on the safe side.

OK thank you. I will get some of the cranberry pills and have them retest me at my appointment. it just worries me. so should I refrain from having sex then too? @lyds

pee after sex. it should help with not getting a uti. peeing clears away possible bacteria that could cause uti

no u don't have to. but if it makes u feel better then yes. but just make sure u clean ur self really good right after u have sex.
