Hey ladies... I think my son may b starting to teethe. He will b 3 months old tomorrow and he has almost all the symptoms except I don't see any teeth coming in in his mouth. Is it possible that the tooth rising to the gum surface so I can see it can cause him as much pain as if the tooth was trying to break through the gums? And I'm sorry if this sounds confusing I don't kno how to word what I'm trying to say. And if this is possible and he is teething do u ladies have any idea what I can do to ease the pain. I have already given him Tylenol. And his frozen tethers I have freak him out and he don't like them.
Ya sounds like teething and unfortunately it can lay awhile if he's like my son. And it's fine no worries I'm still learning too! Lol but good luck 😊
@edomke, I'm sorry for al lithe questions. This is just my first LO. So I'm just new to all this. But last night his left cheek was rosy but not the right one. And his poop has been a little runnier.
I would say no to low grade fever. Babies have a little higher temp. But my son never ever had fevers when he teethed where some babies do. It could be teeth how have his poop been? Extra runny is a sign it's teething. Are his cheeks rosey?
@edomke, I just took his temperature through his butt and it was 99.2, is that a low grade fever?
@edomke, ok. I gave him Tylenol earlier bc earlier he was screaming for over and hour in pain and it helped him to go to sleep. I could tell he was still uncomfortable but he wasn't in as much pain. And I don't think it's gas bc his tummy isn't hard and he isn't kicking his legs like her normally does when he has gas. Plus I have him gripe water way before the Tylenol and it did nothing for him and usually when he has had the gripe water will make it go away.
Honestly how I can tell the difference is if I give him Tylenol. If he feels better then it's probably teeth and if not then it's most likely gas related
So even when I look in his mouth and I don't see a tooth under his gums, it's still possible he could b teething? I have checked his mouth twice and it's really hard to get a good look at his gums, but I swear I don't even see a tooth beneath his gums. @edomke
A cold washcloth to let them chew on helps I've heard also letting him chew on your finger.
@edpmke, and he has a bad day or two before but they normally don't last this long. He's going on 3-4 days acting off and being upset. I was up with him almost all night bc he was in pain. And then I would cry bc I felt so bad for him.
