so u guys remember i was worried about being fired for attendance? today my boss tried to give me a verbal warning for missing 28 days of work but when i looked the list over, over half of the days on the list were approved days off by him and/or my other boss. so they're going to take off those days but they STILL want to give me a verbal warning. they have no set attendance policy, it's all subjective and up to how they're feeling. none of this feels legit to me and I'm feeling like being a BITCH and complaining about discrimination just because!!!! lol UGH why cant we all jus be rich preggies?

well it would depend on your state if your in an at will state unfortunately those loose to no attendance policies are okay... it does look bad that they included approved days... just a word to the wise if it's a verbal warning that doesn't get formally documented it doesn't count towards progressive disciplinary action if your state is not at will

the thing is they dont have anything set up as for if i miss any more days. so if im not feeling my best in 2 weeks and i call in again, will it then move to a level 1? its too subjective in my opinion. i am just going to request my OB have them knock my hours down in case i dont feel well i dont have to worry @sparklymama

so you do not have any sick time or paid time off available? they are not required to approve leave without pay... unfortunately hr policies can be very subjective and employers know this if it is an at will state... on top of that pregnancy is not a protected class... smh... it's helpful to have your ob put you on restrictions but unless your on approved FMLA there is no protection that states they have to adhere to it... and they can terminate if you cannot meet the needs of the business in terms of schedule... again there are a lot of factors at work here... I don't have enough info to give you a definitive answer... just speaking generally

I don't qualify for FMLA because I have not been here for one full year. But I do qualify for short term disability, the only thing about that is if I start my leave now I will lose my insurance, basically have to pay for it out of pocket. But my HR manager told me that if I can get my doctor to write a note that says I need to work Less hours throughout the week then I can't lose my benefits and that way I don't have to take my short-term disability leave right away @sparklymama

I wouldn't cut your hours cause you loose money doing that I was in the same predicament what I did was come in sick and all so they would send me home until my fmla kicked in

im not going to come in when im in pain or days when i feel like i need rest ... or days when my feet are super swollen. literally no amount of money is worth my discomfort during this pregnancy especially being my first one. @novaskyy
