I got this job at a diner waitressing. my first month there and they hired a girl who had worked there a few yrs prior. after that I wasn't scheduled for two weeks and filled in when ppl called in.also last Sunday I was suppose to get paid for the few days I worked and didn't. so I contacted the manger and she said I'd have it today. well a girl asked if I could work tonight and I said yes, NP. she let the manager know and the manager said that I didn't work there anymore. the girl let me know that this was said. now I know I'm not getting that last paycheck and I needed it to buy clothes because none of mine fit anymore but a few shirts and I'm squeezing myself into my jeans. the manager could have just told me hey we don't want you there anymore but here's the paycheck for those few days. how shitty of them.

I can't @bria they never had me fill out paperwork so I don't have any proof I worked there. the manger said after a few weeks they would have me do the paperwork and never did

I trusted them not to f*ck me over and I thought I should've asked for the paperwork but I really thought that they would have me do it soon

It's illegal. If you worked those days and have proof that you worked they have to pay you for the days you worked.

It's still worth reporting because they can help with jobs that do messed up shit even if they're off the books, don't let them think they can get away with that. Call your local govt office that works with labor and contact the EEOC immediately

its more of its the fact that the ppl there will talk. they were all pretty two faced. but if I go to pick it up tmw and its not there than I will be contacting one of these agencies @bria
