I'm having a very hard time with my 7 week old son. he has been awake since noon which caused me not to be able to nap today and he is fighting sleep so hard. I have fed him, gave him gas drops, gripe water, rocking, put him in a swing, gave him a Paci, gave him a warm soothing bath, sang to him, you name it I've probably done it... and I don't know what else to do. . he is crying so much and fighting sleep so bad and I'm about to lose my mind because of exhaustion

@mamabee, @mommys3angels @ktwins188 he has horrible gas and hadn't pooped in two days so I tink his tummy hurts. even when he is in bed with me he will sleep for 10-15 minutes and wakes up crying horribly.

Maybe try putting his crib right up to your bed for now. Is he doing any better?

@mamabee, oh I love it. I just don't want him getting too big and sleeping In my bed lol.. I worry sometimes with it too. I used to toss and turn but I guess mommy instincts come in play and I don't anymore. I guess my main concern is soon he will be rolling over on his own and I don't want him to fall off the bed.

@mccokel14, I co-sleep, you shouldn't feel bad about co- sleeping at this age. It makes it so much easier on us and our babies love it!! Especially, if your doing it on your own!

@mommys3angels, I have been, but I'm trying to break him. I ended up sleeping with my parents until I was almost 10 years old and if I meet a guy later on in time I don't want my son thinking he is still sleeping in mommy's bed. lol.. he is already getting too spoiled. but I guess one more night won't hurt. ugh...

@mccokel14, I've been where your at and you might need someone to let you get a couple hours of sleep. If you have to leave the baby in his crib, Honestly crying isn't going to hurt the baby.

@mamabee, I swaddled and did skin to skin. I'll try the shower but I'm not sure at this point anything will work. anytime I put him down he cries hysterically. I can't sleep in a recliner due to such horrible back problems so I'm not sure what I'm gonna do tonight if he won't sleep in his own bed.

Have you tried swaddling him or putting him in a baby wrap. Try taking a shower with him. I used to with my baby when she got like this and it was the only thing that helped. I wrapped her in her baby towel so she wasn't slippery.
