Zika virus. The information the CDC is releasing is making people way more crazy than it is. I didn't "qualify" for the test after I was in one of highest places for the Zika virus...
I was tested 2 months after i came from Honduras. Never had any symptoms or anything but they said I was forced to do it anyway. 6 weeks later the results came back in negative. And they still keep bugging me saying they want to keep testing me to see if I have ever had dengue or anything similar to it. It's been a nightmare because it is negative but they keep saying I am forced to do it. Which I do not want to keep torturing myself if it's already negative.
It's not in the US according to my doctor she says the cases that have been found are people who went overseas namely the Caribbean n South America or women who are visiting the states. So she says 👀👀👀👀
All cases "confirmed" in the US have been due to outside travel.... However it can be transmitted through sperm so if your SO gets it and you sleep together you could get it. However they told me I didn't need to be tested due to being out of my first trimester and the other things

@dcb012, yeah it's making me freak out a little. The cdc recently wrote every pregnant woman should be getting tested every prenatal visit???
