So I work full time for the federal government. I am an upstanding citizen. I am currently paying student loans back that I used to get my degree. I'm an Air Force veteran. And you mean to tell me that I don't qualify for some type of assistance while I'm on maternity leave but someone who has NEVER worked a day in her fuckin life does?

It's crazy. I've been on both sides because my mom was a single parent so we needed support, but the fact that people are getting free sonograms and stuff on Medicaid while I've only had 2 and still had to pay about 150 each time is annoying.

This job dog salon i work at in fl for 12yrs ,doesnt offer pd maternity leave ,so I have to be instantly on saving $ mode. thank god I'm due in December and get my taxes in January, In Florida you have to have 15 or more employees to be compensated

Yeah! It really sucks so we've been saving a ton. My agency definitely has more than 15. I wish that law applied to us lol. Or Atleast being there for a certain amount of time. I'll have put in 15 months. Smh
