Did any of you mommas get the mirena after you had your baby? And if you did, how long did you bleed…

I had the iud ( same as mirena ) I got it in 6 weeks after I had my son and he was born in 2011 and I had it in until 2016 and I bled for 5 days after I got it in

I had mirena once. I bled constantly for about 6 weeks+

I decided to have it removed because of the bleeding and painful intercourse

@oceanprincess23, I've been bleeding ever since I got it in the day before she turned 8 weeks. She'll be 10 weeks this Thursday. But it's not as bad as my period bleeding was. And @arivera64 I haven't had any painful intercourse, just bleeding and I know that's normal. I just didn't know how long to expect it

It could be different for everyone but i say if it lasts longer than another week I'd talk to the doctor

@arivera64, I go in August 10 for an iud check to see if it's moved or not and if I'm still bleeding then I'll ask him about it
