He was the first few days now he's not latching so well .. I still try to get him to latch but he gets mad and cries.. My boobs are engorged and hurt but still nothing
I'm working on getting a pump so I will be @rockysmommy right now he's getting formula and whenever he wants to latch on cause he lost 10 ounces in a night I guess so had to get him something in his belly @rockysmommy he was 3 weeks and 2 days early
Yeah usually preemies have a harder time latching :( I hope you get it figured out and get that pump soon. I tried pumping it was just too stressful and wore me out when I didn't produce a lot id cry so I quit. I really hope you can do it though :)
Trying to pump was taking away the joy I deserved with my son I wanted the happy experience with him while he was so tiny not being upset all the time over trying to produce enough.
@kaela3, my daughter is also preemie . And it took a while for the milk to come . But oatmeal has been helping and I'm going to go Buy the herb Fenugreek .
Yeah I'm calling wic tomorrow so I'm sure they will give me one and I don't like oatmeal lol I'm not gonna be too upset if I can't breastfeed him I still do skin to skin with him all the time @janhasx3 @rockysmommy
@kaela3, yeah they will give a manual one which is actually great 👍🏼 try Fenugreek and Water if oatmeal is not a option for you . Don't give up just yet 😊

Do you pump? My baby was five weeks early and couldn't latch very well so I had to pump every three to four hours and once at night.

Exactly! Rocky's on nutramegin and he's so chubby. Fed is best in my eyes. Don't stress yourself out about it.

@kaela3, Rocky's still my best friend regardless of him being formula fed he's actually an incredibly happy baby :)
