A lot of mamas sleep with their newborns. I wish I could but I have always been too nervous I would fall in a deep sleep and hurt him. It's not bad, it's just your choice!

I have co slept with my son since the day I brought him home, he's 8 months now lol. No one can tell you what's best for you and your baby. At that age I slept with him on my chest. I am a very light sleeper and my husband doesn't move a lot so for us, it's a completely safe option. Just keep in mind that it will become a habit that might be hard to break but I wouldn't want it any other way

Co-sleeping is a parents choice. No doctor should tell you how to raise your child they should only make suggestions and let you know the positives and negatives.

@alexislopez, @mommy_faith okay that makes me feel a lot better! My son doesn't seem to like sleeping in his crib. He wakes up every 30 minutes and I have to rock him back to sleep. But when we take naps in the afternoon he usually sleeps with me in my bed and he can sleep for hours on end. I'm glad to know its a preference thing! Thank you ladies!! 💕💕

@surprise4, yeah that's what I thought too! When they told me not to cosleep I found it odd because I knew other moms who coslept with their babies and they were okay!

My son was the same way, I tried the bassinet maybe twice and he slept horrible so I moved him to my bed and he would sleep so much better! Much easier if you are breast feeding too. Trust me I was scared to sleep with him but quickly realized that I felt so much better/comfortable with him sleeping next to me

My son won't sleep away from me for more than thirty minutes. When he's with me on my chest or right next to my body, he can sleep for five to six hours now. I make sure he's not laying weird and his face isn't covered or close to anything that could cause any breathing problems and then we sleep. It's amazing honestly. We both love cuddling and my boyfriend isn't much of a cuddler so I have my son to cuddle with and it also helps me sleep haha ☺️

I fought so hard with my oldest to sleep in his crib. I never got any sleep. Now I'm co sleeping with my youngest babe and I'm sleeping so much, almost through the night. It's definitely safe and if you're breastfeeding + co sleeping it reduces the risk of SIDS by a lot.
