have any of you ladies been measuring on track, but when you got to 37/38 weeks you started measuring small? what could this mean? will he just be a small baby, and should I worry about it?

At 37 weeks I started measuring a week behind and now at my last appointment. At 38 weeks I'm still measuring 36 weeks. I have a "old" placenta though so that might have something to play in it.

I measured small for a few appointments before they decided to but as far as the insurance question we were military at the time and they tell you as soon as you test positive they only do 2 sonograms during a normal not high risk pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. Military was very strict on what they would do. I would just ask my dr what it means and if there is any cause for concern.

they didnt do a growth scan at my last appointment when I measured small. I'm on state insurance, would they cover it if they thought it was necessary? I'm hoping at my next appointment I measure a little bigger then last time. both me and my SO we're small babies.

I did with my daughter and they did a growth scan just to make sure by sono that everything looked fine and it did so no induction was necessary I had her 3 days after her due date and she was 6lbs 12oz so in our case she was just on the smaller size of average.
