I introduce both of mine a couple days after they got home. I wrapped them in a receiving blanket that wasn't one of my favorites and for a few hours and then I let the dog smell it and lay with it for about a day and then I introduced the dog to the baby so they had already established the smell. that's my plan for this one too and it worked excellent for me
You really don't want the dog to feel like you have replace it. That will cause aggression towards the baby in some cases. Make sure you have one on one with dog too

I'm going to do it the day we come cuz I don't want the dogs to hurt her or feel neglected so I think it's best to do it right away.
