I do it I did it when she first came home also that's all that calmed her now that she moves a bit more I won't do it unless we are napping and I can literally be in the middle of the bed with pillows beside us but totally beautiful never thought of the heart thing

some doctors will say it's not safe for a baby to sleep with you at all.. but my cousin is a pedestrian, and I've heard other doctors opinion on the subject, but like my cousin told me, the closer you sleep next to your baby the best, since it helps prevent SIDS.

While you breathe you're stimulating your baby to continue breathing, so you're okay just don't forget she's there lol Jk,

My daughter use to when she was a baby! My son is sleeping on my chest right now! I don't sleep with him on me all night just 30 minutes to one hour just tell he is good and asleep! That's the only way he get to sleep!

@mimiz, yeah I'm more comfortable wit her on me but they say it's harder for to breathe since she's not on her back

my baby is nearly 7 months old it wasn't our intention to co-sleep with her it's just something that happened.. my daughter when she was 1-2 day old, before my milk came in, my husband and I got no sleep I was constantly trying to get her to latch and feed her (I was freaking out thinking I couldn't feed her) but she was nonstop going on and off the boob switching sides every 3 mins for hours and then I discovered all she wanted the whole time was to be in the center of my chest to hear/feel my heart beat, that moment she fell asleep instantly and rested peacefully the whole day just like that

Me and my husband debate this all the time. I don't do it until the late morning. My daughter will sleep her 4-5 hours at night, feed, sleep for another 3, feed diaper and she would lay on my chest for the the next 3 hours. She will sleep until at least 9-10 in the morning with this routine I love it! If I don't she would be up within an hour.

I do it every night. Just makes it easier at night.

Plus he can't sleep without me. If I put him away from me, he'll sleep for about thirty minutes but if he's with me he sleeps for hours. There's rare occasions where he'll sleep for hours away from me, but like I said its rare.
