usually its just healing so it will be itchy for awhile at least for me I'm pretty sure it stopped itching around 6 weeks for me or so it felt like forever . there was this spray they gave me to stop the pain and itch omgod it was a life saver

Not if you didn't want to! It was mainly for the burning when you pee. I kept using it just because it made them feel better lol.

No it doesn't. I've had a baby girl! I know that's not the case lol. They are just healing. It's best to let them stay dry. They heal faster. Mine took forever to heal because I was always moist. I started doing sitz baths and using a hair dryer and the healing process was faster.

@valerie_jean, I know I know, I just had to make sure it wasn't something else like a yeast infection! (Never had one so I thought looking would help lol). I stopped bleeding about 2 weeks ago so I don't use the pads anymore, just liners. When it stopped hurting to pee I stopped using the peri bottle. Was I supposed to keep using it?

@junesmommy_15, see I thought that's what they would look like too. I don't actually see stitches I just see little white things. Only a couple. Then in other places I see little bumps. No head on the bumps. But both the white and the other bumps itch like crazy so I'm not sure which are the stitches. I know it sounds gross or like I have some kind of STD but I swear I don't lol

Rule #1: NEVER USE A MIRROR😂 lol! It will freak you out and make you worry more than you have to.😂 Yes girl mine were super itchy but I just tried to keep it moist like using the hydrocortisone cream and the witchhazel pads they gave me, and using the water bottle spray thing when I peed and the other spray can stuff lol. And my stitches dissolved around 2-3 weeks, but others it takes longer for them to dissolve. Sounds like yours are almost gone since there are only a couple. ☺️

They itch when they heal. I'm not sure about them being white. Mine were black.

@valerie_jean, me too! I'm 5 weeks pp and I've been SUPER itchy, I'm assuming it's from my stitches healing. Did you experience this and when did it stop?? I got curious and wanted to make sure everything was as it should be and grabbed a mirror. I can see a couple things I'm assuming are stitches/where the stitches were? They are white.

I had second degree tears. What's your question mama?
