Hello I am Jaxon Grey. I refuse to sleep. Mommy got me to sleep 1 time tonight by rubbing my head for 30 mins while I laid in my crib. But it didn't work this time. I keep spitting my paci out & crying until mommy puts it back in. My feet stay cold because I keep kicking my cover off. I keep sneezing so mommy forced socks & this hat on me. She would put a onsie on me but I sweat so badly in any onsie that she is scared of overheating me. I am being a turd nugget tonight. Oh & I will get hungry in about a hour.

Have you tried swaddling? That used to work like a charm for my son

@kellynicole, I can't swaddle him he sweats profusely every time I do so I just dont. Scared of overheating him

Try using a super light receiving blanket like this one and swaddling him with his arms free... If that doesn't work just put him in a long sleeve onesie without pants on and just put socks on. This is what I do cause my son always knocks the blanket off

If he's only a week old he definitely needs something though, he can't regulate his temperature enough to be sleeping nakey and be comfortable

I'll try that. & trust me this kid has some crazy body heat. he definitely gets that from me & his daddy. I check his body temperature regularly & it's always right on track @kellynicole

bless his heart !! my daughter was/is the same way with sweating but I was told to swaddle or put a onesie on and leave it open.. when she cries she sweats sooo bad .. but they lose heat fast ! but he's a cutie congratulations and good luck

Yeah I know it definitely happens! My boyfriend gets suuuuuper hot when he sleeps and sometimes Logan gets that way too. But yeah try those methods and see how that helps!

Newborns love to be swaddled though it works like a charm.. You just might have to get a more breathable swaddle blqnket

I think I do I have to look for some since I can't help him with skin to skin to regulate his temp because of my breast binder

Try the swaddle me sleep sack, it's thin because mine gets hot too. I either put her in just a diaper or a onesie and she's fine. At that young it's going to be hard for him to sleep alone on his back in a crib like that, they still need to feel protected and close to mom

If he doesn't take to being swaddled (mine never did), check out the Aden and Anais PJs. They're kinda expensive for baby PJs, but they're thin and breathable and the material doesn't retain heat! You can get them at Target.
