my son was so happy when I took my newborn home, he has been such a help he loves him😊 his only 18months @mommyoftwo1

My son was happy and I made sure I let him help as mucb as he could so he wouldn't feel left out. My boys are 5 years apart and so I would take him on a date here and there while their daddy kept his brother that way he knew mommy still loves him even though I had to give my newborn more of my attention.

My daughter was about one and a half when my youngest was born, I just made sure I asked her to "help" me as much as possible so she felt involved. kids love to help with babies!

I like the idea that @nicolemarlena had too, taking your daughter out just the 2 of you once in a while to show her that the baby isn't more important :)
