Seriously wondering how not wanting an epidural and wanting not to get induced makes me less of a woman. Someone told me today that not wanting pain meds and pitocin in my body while I give birth was irresponsible and bad for my baby. What did they think women did before epidurals and pitocin? If i end up having to be induced because its safest for the baby then so be it, but how does it make me a bad mother to want to go into labor myself and do it unmedicated? Smh.

it's actually natural and healthier without medication lmao wtf . ignore people do what's best for yourself , I got medications but like I said - do what is best for you . screw everyone else's opinion

Wtf. That angers me. I refuse to give birth without those meds. I don't remember a lot of giving birth to my first, and there was almost no pain (woulda been no pain if she hadn't ripped me) and that is what I hope the next one will be like. But just because you choose something completely different than that, doesn't mean ANYTHING other than you have a different opinion. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I've been told I never should have gotten the epidural and I shouldn't have gotten any pain meds cause it would have made things go more smoothly. I only pushed for 40 minutes, with my first kid. Lol. You're doing what you feel is best for you and your baby. And that in itself is what IS actually best for you both.
