I don't think it's gonna help me either, I mean the stuff is basically Benedryl 😞 I've been having legitimately crippling anxiety lately I can't believe this is all the psychiatrist prescribed. That and Effexor XR 😕 I'm so annoyed @xoashl3ylynnxo @mc.squared
Same here!!! And I told him exactly that and he still wouldn't prescribe me a benzo. Like i know what works for me and what doesn't and he just kept saying well try this instead blah blah... I'm so upset about it. I really thought he would give me what I had experience with and what I knew worked for me but I guess benzos are hard to get prescribed because of abuse potential. @xoashl3ylynnxo
Yea it's sad that people that need it can't get it bc of it being abused :( they won't prescribe me anything like that without a getting a 48 hr eval which is bs if u ask me bc I know people who get prescribed worse and don't have to do any of that @emkasting I gave up looking for help with my depression and anxiety bc they make me feel like I'm looking for drugs
They just have to go through the motions. Start off with the non controlled substances. I had to go through 3-4 before they gave me something that worked. I ended up on Marinol, and then Valium for breakthrough anxiety.
@mc.squared it just sucks cause I've been on several things for anxiety already so this isn't the first time I have to "go through the motions" so it's just frustrating :(
What ever you do don't get on cymbalta. That stuff was the devil for me. I was on it for 10 years and took me months to come off of it. It was almost impossible to wean off of. I was so sick I couldnt work or do anything. Not to mention it costs an arm and a leg.

I have too! It helped me sleep more than anything...didn't do crap for my anxiety :/

Effexor is a horrible drug. It's one of the worst to try and get off of. :/ I would take it up with a general physician and get on Zoloft.

I was on Zoloft and it was awful, I definitely won't get on that again. @loveitwithlove

I've been on that too @jacesterlingsmommy I've tried so many anti depressants I've lost count. I just don't respond to medication well at all
