I used to smoke as well. I hardly smoke now since I'm breastfeeding but I have before because of migraines

My cousin does tons of research on smoking and she told me it does no harm. And the times I've smoked I've never noticed any difference in my daughter.

with my first who's 18 months now, I smoked for morning sickness. first trimester... I did smoke after I had her because you can even while nursing... you just gotta wait some time before nursing again. what I did was pump a lot of milk and store it... trust me, my lactation nurse gave me all the info drinks and smoking.

as long as you pump and bottle feed. or if you wait and nurse... you can Google to see the length of time to wait.... like with cigarettes you have to wait an hour or two until it passes through blood in order to nurse and feed I believe, with alcohol it's six-eight depending on how much you drink

@naturalbornwinner, that's the same thing I thought about when I have my daughter. I read you can freeze breast milk for about six months. so my mission is to store as much as I can because I know I'm gonna give in. I miss smoking a little bit..

@ourmiracle2016, I read online that weed tends to stay in fat tissues which boobs are full of it . So I'm scared to do so while breastfeeding

girl, I miss it to!!!! trust me!! LOL, I plan on pumping soon after I give birth as well, and yes it last six months frozen. my birthday is days after my due date I'll be 25 and I plan on having a nice lil drink, and a 420 moment... LOL!! we're mom's YES, and our kids come first!! BUT... We still need to have our time and continue to enjoy life as well after having babies.

@brendam96, I by no means recommend it while pregnant. I smoked while pregnant because I had headaches every day that Tylenol wouldn't touch with a 10 foot poll and my dr wanted to prescribe me narcotics for an every day use. My dr knew I smoked as well. But I still never recommend it.

@ourmiracle2016, very little trace amounts. But did you know there are already components of THC in your milk? The same thing that gives you the munchies is already in your milk to help make baby want to eat more
