I lost 5 pounds in the first week of pumping. Be careful because pumping/breastfeeding makes you hungry so you have yo watch what you eat and how much.
@pbandjones, I breastfeed my baby...gained 30 pounds during my pregnancy. at my 4 week pp check up, I was 5 pounds less than before I got pregnant. I went from 160 the day I had her to 125 in 4 weeks
that is awesome to hear! @ladyameliasmama @ginnalynn @blessedwithberetta im just curious because im currently 5lbs under my pre pregnancy weight with my twin boys. (docs arent worried since i was already overweight and they are getting plenty of neitrients still) but speaking with my doula yesterday we got on the subject of losing weight breastfeeding so it got me wondering how much i may or may not end up losing breastfeeding my twins
@pbandjones, I got down to that weight and I've stayed the same now, she's 4 months old. I guess you just lose to a certain poi,t then just balance outll
I was reading some blogs from moms and a lot had mentioned that they would drop a ton of weight in the first 6-12 weeks then plateau till about 6 months and then they would either gain it all back or see another big dip in weight loss. I guess everyone is different. Im hopeful to drop some weight and keep it off. @ladyameliasmama @blessedwithberetta
A lot gain it back because of the hunger that comes with breastfeeding. Try to adjust your diet with filling but healthy foods. Oatmeal is amazing for production and is and very filling I have it a lot for breakfast. Staying active is also very important!
Yeah my doula has given me a lot of support and information on proper eating during breastfeeding. And my actual doctor works with healthy weight maintenance as part of his pp healing. I wasn't a big eater before pregnancy and haven't been during. I became overweight mostly due to things like hormonal imbalances and depression. Im very motivated to keep an active life style so my boys never have to grow up seein me that way and my husband is supportive too. I have a positive outlook so far :) @ladyameliasmama
With my second I weighed 119 before pregnancy and I lost everything and weighed 117 a week after she was born. With my second it was much different. I started at 130ish and was 148 at my lowest 8 months later.

I had lost ten pounds within a week, I'm down twenty after five weeks (I weigh less now than I did pre-pregnancy)
