What's everyone's Opinion on this? as for me i struggle EVERY damn day w my Toddler he's Majorly Picky. i don't make him eat what he doesn't like i let him snack and eat what he pleases but I've been told I'm letting him have his way.....😐
usually an equal swap option...if he doesn't like broccoli he can choose a different veggie for example. must try everything, and I honestly haven't had a problem yet.
My son has always had the rule that he must try it first, and if he doesn't like it he has to respectfully decline to eat it AFTER saying thank you for the time it took to cook. I will offer an alternative. If he refuses to eat altogether we just tell him that's his choice but there will be no dessert and no snacks and he will have to wait until breakfast. I've done it that way since he was 3; it's very effective because we have control and he feels like he has a choice 😊
my 18 month old eats what I make if he doesn't like it there's plenty of yogurt, apple sauce, pb&j as long as he eats something it's fine but I'm not gonna make another meal.
I will not force my kids to eat period if they don't like the option for dinner there is plenty of pb&j and salads, and fruits that they have a choice from. Childhood obesity is real and so are eating disorders. Regardless if they eat, nothing will go to waste.
@noahsmommy22, mine eat what i make too.. if you dont want to eat it- make your own food (oldest 15, step daughter) the others 12, 9, 1 <--- eat what i make... i dont make food they wont eat most of the time
