What I don't understand is how a person can go 6 months, knowing that their child has been born and the only time they've said anything was a few days after they were born. Even then it wasn't anything to inquire about the child, it was more like a "I can't believe you didn't tell me you had my son." Anytime he's texted me it's only been trying to get back with me or some other random shit. Please don't get me wrong, I LOVE that he has stayed out of our lives, and pray every day he continues to do so. He's not allowed around anyway. However, if i knew that all I needed to do in order to be a part of my son's life was to straighten up and act like a civilized 28 yr old man, work, stay drug free and away from all that mess, and basically just take care of my responsibilities. I'D DO IT! But ya know what, being the person that he is, he'll never do that. And that's okay, because being the person that I am, I can and will continue to do it all on my own and enjoy every second of it. I'm not the one missing out!
