@ssdj4, its not , the point of a baby shower is to celebrate not just collect gifts

We're doing a "meet the baby" party after ours is born...no gifts needed! just a chance for everyone to get together and meet baby! :)

we're waiting till she's a lil older. she's due in August so we were thinking like March April when the weather is better and she's not such a brand new baby

I already know that I will never get a lot of gifts and I like it that way. I just like the chance celebrate one the best things to happen to me. @lovingmydaughter

what is wrong with people. it's to celerbrate the welcoming of a newchild into the word with family and friends.

Not true at all.... I purchased everything for my son before my shower.... I didn't even have a registry.... everyone know Im having a boy...... I invited a few close friends & family to my baby shower....they bought what they wanted the bring for him as a gift & that was that.....I'm 34+ weeks.... and I'm still picking up stuff whenever I go in the store if I see something I like.... I paid for my own gender reveal gathering food...decorations etc.....for my family once I found out what I was having to surprise them.... and I paid for my own food decorations prizes games for my own baby shower
