Ok moms who have older children already.. How essential is a mobile? My almost 4 month old son has no problem falling asleep in his crib; will he need one to help him when he's older & doesn't want to sleep as much?

My son's grandma got him this when he was 2 months and he is now about to be 2yrs old and still uses it. He didn't like the mobile
