My newborn baby is getting yellow gook in the corner of her left eye. What could that be? Is that normal??

jaundice. Call her pedi tomorrow morning to have her levels checked. Take the baby into some sun for now

it could just be eye boogies they have small tubes so sometimes it just gets too much wipe it with a warm cloth every time you see extra biuld up

in her eyes or near the tear duct

Jaundice won't give the baby yellow gook.. it turns the whites of their eyes yellow (I had jaundice). It could just be eye boogies. I get that sometimes and so does my daughter.

yeah use a warm wet cloth and gently wipe away. If it gets crusty especially after sleep and the eyes start to look irritated then have her seen

yeah it's probably build up because they have small tear ducts jj was like that to the point it covered his long eyelashes

just wipe it with a warm cloth and she will be fine 😊
