I've suffered with depression since the age of 15 and I knew when I was pregnant that it was almost inevitable that I would get PND. In the past I've always refused medication because I didn't ever want to have to rely on a tablet to be myself... But I'll do it for my daughter, if it means being able to cope better and being able to be the mother she deserves... I'll do anything for her, even if it means being on medication for the rest of my life

@daisysmummy, I've also suffered with depression all my life.. i was 13 when first told i had it and like you i refused the tablets.. i didn't want to rely on something to change me and saw them as a failure but in the end i gave in.. I've been rock bottom to the darkest places but the tablets do help.. they show that little bit of light to make You fight to get there.. your already showing ur strength by sharing how your feeling and by wanting to get better for ur daughter shows ur strength too.. feel proud of urself now and know you will soon look back and feel prouder xx if you ever need a chat or rant my inbox is always there for you xx don't ever think ur alone xx
