So I just had my baby 4 days ago & my lactation consultant is already asking me to pump twice a day to increase my milk production but I'm not sure I want to do that. I heard beer works too? Is it too early for me to drink? & if not , how much should I drink ??
Okay thank you for the tips ! & I know, they said it was normal for her to be losing weight but I guess she's loosing a little too much 😕 @rachel8792
gallon of water a day, oatmeal every day, and pump every 2 hours. I followed that, and had 400 oz saved by the time my son turned 1 month old. Keep in mind its normal for babies to lose weight the first week because your milk takes a few days to come in. Right now its colostrum, which is clear but filled with the nutrients, and antibodies a newborn needs. Your milk should be in any day now, and its filled with lots of healthy fats to plump the baby up :) I breastfed for 14 months, and my grandma is a lactation specialist at WIC
Yeah I think it has then because they're SO heavy already & I felt a lot of lumps on them 😕 but they still told me that I needed to increase it ????? @sarahb518
I'm pretty sure your would be able to feel it. When your milk fully comes in your boobs will feel really heavy and you might get a bit engorged. It's possible you still haven't had it fully come in yet. I know they make specific cookies and teas that help with supply and making sure you drink plenty of water are things that can help you
How else can I increase it????? & im not sure that's just what they told me because my baby's loosing a little bit too much weight I guess 😔 @sarahb518
I wish I could pump Lil man don't like bottles but how I keep my milk flowing my husband massage my boobs that shit works my Lil one is 6 months try and see if that works
