Might be a silly question but I've handed my Matb1 firm in now to my employer, I work for the NHS and and am entitled to the year off etc but does your employer sort the smp part of your pay out? Or is that government run and sorted out yourself? I just can't remember that far back when I had my son 12 years ago lol?

my mate is into 3rd month of maternity she works in payroll for nhs and got right good maternity benefits!:)

Your work should sort all that out for you.. My work done all mines for me last week! So glad and a bit less stressed now it's sorted! And my work gave me a payment schedule which states exactly what I'll get each month that I'm off which I'm glad about @hawkie75 xx

@tg123456789, @zannam thanks ladies yes I've handed it all in and they are sorting it with HR so I'm glad it's all sorted now, I might ask for a payment schedule though that's z good idea xxx thanks xxx

Yeah you should ask if they'll be able to get one for you.. Just helps and let you know what you'll get and helps me out with what months I'll have to say and put money away for cause the longer your off the less money you get @hawkie75 xxx

@zannam, yeah thanks, I already have a rough guide of amounts written down as a colleague was pregnant a few months ahead of me in same job and passed it in to me but it would be nice to have an official thing from pay roll xxx
