Hubby just recently got a promotion to driver manger of his disturbing drink company but they still have him doing deliveries and meetings after. He leave at 5 am and most of the time doesn't get home until 9pm earlier if he's lucky!! His job knows I can pop any day now So I told him if it continues Imma gonna leave to jersey when our daughter is born to get help from my family his is closer but I rather be around my family around real love! He told me I was being selfish and just want to take his daughter away from him. Which is not the case but correct me if I'm wrong when women give birth they can use the extra help BCUZ their body is tired and we need the rest! And he can't help me with that due to his work hours. Iam very grateful for my husband but something gotta give. If things don't change most likely he gets paternity leave but do u think that's selfish or I'm overthinking as usual

Personally, I wouldn't leave my home & husband for help. I would have help come to me. It is selfish, in a sense. He appears to be working hard for your family, don't punish him for that, especially if it is out of his control.

I don't think you are being selfish, but I wouldn't leave either. My hubby goes to school at 8 am and goes into work at 3 and doesn't get home until after 1am. We have 3 kids at home and 1 on the way. He is literally gone all day and I have six weeks to go. The one thing he does do is let his job know we come first, if something happens he has no problem saying I have to go. They don't like it but they can't tell him no. They could fire him sure, but he is a good worker and what's the point of vacation and sick leave if you can't use it.
Give him a chance when it's time trust that he will make the right decision and if he doesn't then have another discussion. Do you have any family or close friends who can stay with you the first few days?

My fiancée works overnight and we live in his parents basement. He has actually suggested I go to my moms for about a week after I have the baby because he doesn't have the time from work and my mom does. To each their own but he doesn't want me to feel alone as this is our first

I honestly needed my family there for me when i had my toddler, I don't think your being selfish at all! My husband worked so much when I gave birth to our daughter and it was REALLYY hard to do things alone.

Girl I've known you for a very long time & i know that you got this!! But maybe a week in jersey after shes born wont be too bad. You want to be careful with stress after you have her, it multiples x 1000 if your not careful.
