Membrane Sweep???...Does it hurt??

It's one notch more uncomfortable than a cervical check in my opinion

that's the same as them popping your water right? itwas a lot more painful than I expected, I guess I was so excited to finally have it done after 22 hours of labor I didnt expect it

It's not pleasant but it's not painful

@mamacodi_09n16, no its completely different. Breaking the bag of water is usually a painless procedure

well they stick one or two fingers into the cervix and do a sweeping motion back and forth.

ohhh okay, I wonder why mine was so painful :/ I wasn't dilated or effaced at all, and I was 15.. maybe thats why lol

how long after the sweep, did you all go into labor???...
