im getting really anxious for my 36 week appt . i havent been checked to see if im dialating or thinning except when i was early on because we got into a wreck . i heard it hurts and what exactly does the thinning have to do with dialating ? is this also when they will do the strep b ( i think thats what people have been talking about ) test and what is that and what does it determine ?

if u have strep b then u will need some antibiotics at delivery. and they just swab u to check for that. and getting checked for dilation can be uncomfortable but not unbearable

and thinning is necessary as u thin the cervix comes down and makes room for baby's head etc just Google it for a better explanation lol

when I got checked it honestly didn't hurt at all, like it was kind of weird to have your doctors hand in there lol but other than that it doesn't hurt

it didnt really hurt last time but i was like , early in my pregnancy so i didnt know if it felt more uncomfortable the farther along or what the issue was @emersonsmommy .

they did my strep b @ my 35 week appt... (which since I have to have a csection doesn't matter..idk why they made me do it anyways) ... Dr also checked me then too.. I find it more of just an annoying pressure when they check you.
