Go to someone who will support the birth you want. This is your birthing experience not theirs

Find a doctor that works for you. You pay them.

Well I changed doctors at 23 weeks because my doctor that delivered my first son didn't support VBAC and basically was telling me I was going to have to get a repeat c section. But my new doctor now supports it so I'm happy about that. Just go with what you think is best for you and you're baby.

If you already know you probably won't go into labor on you're own then maybe it is best for you to switch to a doctor that is VBAC friendly. Things have a way of working themselves out. @studio.ghibli.mom23

@brie15, I want a VBAC and my current dr is against it cause he can't monitor it round the clock cause if the tiniest thing goes wrong the worst could happen and I'd have to make a decision me or the baby

I would get a second opinion first because vbacs are also based on you personally so I would make sure another Dr who usually does vbacs thinks your a good candidate before u switch because you might switch and the Dr who does vbacs might agree with your Dr because there might be something in your chart that makes a vbac too dangerous
