Quick question are you allowed to skip the membrane sweep and go straight to being induced instead…

You can reffuse the sweep, if I am offered one I will be refusing x

you might get to a point if you're being induced where you will need that to see if your cervix is open so they can break your waters @trevise

I'm trying to say I got a sweep on Monday but say if I wanna forget about it and be induced instead could I do that @mich77

I don't think they will @trevise. I was induced Tuesday and they don't like to do it unless necessary. they prefer to try methods that would get you going naturally as it's less stressful / harmful for the baby

I don't think so, they always want to do the safest thing first before they move on to something stronger. Why do you not want a sweep? is it very unpleasant?

if your cervex is closed they won't be able to do a sweep!
