What kind of things do they do at the gender anomaly scan at 20 weeks? no idea what to expect…

They measure EVERYTHING and check kidneys, liver, bladder, and all the organs basically :) oh and they tell you the gender if they can see xx

20 week scan is lovely 😊 you get a good proper look at baby! 😃xx

I did take a bottle of water with me when traveling to the hospital, but I didn't get close to finish it and they never said anything, I wondered this too but maybe try too drink a bitty before hand just incase 😊 xx

Check heart has 4 chambers, brain has 2 hemispheres, all limbs, face for cleft lip, check kidneys and bladder etc.. Do measurements of legs and abdomen and also the head.. Alway have a full bladder for scans, then ask them if they want the full bladder, if not request to pop to the loo.. Xx

They basically check for any birth defects, check the placenta is working properly and the cord is in tact and doing its job.. Check position of placenta, amnio fluid and if baby is growing as it should be :) and then of course you can request them to say what gender they think baby is xxx
