cigarettes are bad while not pregnant so yes cigarettes during pregnancy are bad too

It's not good for the baby, the placenta is suppose to filter out things that aren't good for the baby such as alcohol and nicotine and etc but somtimes they get through. I know that it's hard to quit smoking so tell your friend that if it's too hard to quit cold turkey then switch to an e-cig or a vape pen and slowly quit that way.

yes it's bad. can cause complications if not now later on in life. it also deteriorates the placenta. not worth it. I was a smoker and was able to quit and I crave it all the time but refrain bc my baby is more important
