I used one for my oldest and didn't really care for it. I've never had another one and won't use it anymore. I'm sure after almost 16 years they have done some upgrading on them I just never really found them all that beneficial

@showersoverflowers, that is also an idea on my list. Lol. How does it do on containing smell? I guess if you take it out every day it shouldn't be that bad.

I have a diaper genie, I hate the bags that go to it so I use regular trash bags but I've had it ever since my first daughter 6 years ago, when I'm not using it for diapers I turn it into a sanitary napkin trash.

As long as you get a decent one, it works great. I put those baking soda stick ons in there as well. You know... the ones that are in Gramma's fridge? those things haha

I am also doing the small stainless steel one with a tight fitting kid and we are ordering the scented dog poo bags off amazon. We did this last time and it worked beautifully.

@showersoverflowers, thanks. 😀. I did hear that metal does not absorb odors as much plastics. Some of the diaper pails go bad because the odors get absorbed and you can't get it out.

exactly! and you are basically just compounding the nastiness in one small tube that should be cleaned regularly and let's face it...cleaning the diaper pail doesn't exactly make it to the top of the to do list
